Celebrating 62 Years of Gemütlichkeit!
Gerhard Dillner came to the United States from his native Germany in 1954, seeking greater opportunities for himself and his young family. His dreams were built on the culinary skills he began developing at just 14 years old, when he became an apprentice chef in Kiel, Germany.
In 1964, Gerhard and his wife, Ruth, turned those dreams into reality when they opened the doors to the House of Gerhard. The restaurant quickly earned a reputation for outstanding German-American cuisine, warm hospitality, and old-world charm.
Today, the tradition Gerhard and Ruth began continues through their daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Dick Rudin, along with their children, Sabine and Kyle.
The House of Gerhard offers exceptional food and service in an inviting atmosphere filled with authentic old-world character. From Schweine-Haxe to Filet Mignon, our menu features traditional German cuisine alongside American favorites. Our famous Prime Rib of Beef is served daily and is truly among the best around.
Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, group luncheon, or simply gathering with family and friends, the House of Gerhard makes every occasion one to remember.
Join us for a truly wunderbar dining experience!
